Cutting from "Kent Messenger". Unusual interest is taken in the auction sale of Headcorn Windmill. Described as "standing on high ground in the heart of the Weald of Kent. This well preserved and operating windmill serves as a guiding light to thousands of travellers".

Cutting from "West Lancashire Evening Gazette". Headcorn Mill is one of the oldest and "most beautiful" windmills in Kent. Having been derelict for several years it was bought by a milling firm, restored and sold to a local man to convert into an observatory.
