Wortham Mills, Victoria Mills and Robinson's Mill

The first three cuttings are from an article on Mr J J Rash's Wortham Mills, starting with a photo of the mill, followed by a frontispiece on the new roller milling technology Mr Rash had installed in the mill in 1893, by Messrs E R and F Turner. The last two cuttings are pictures of Victoria Mills in Ashford and Robinson's Mill in Deptford.

H S Pledge and Sons, Advertisement

This advertisement seems to amalgamate two separate mills. The building on the left appears to show Victoria Mill, a roller mill on Victoria Road, Ashford. The building on the right is East Hill Mill, a watermill found on East Hill Road. The two mills are quite far apart, and not next to each other as shown in this advertisement.

H S Pledge & Sons

Pledges' Victoria Flour Mills at Ashford, built 1890. The Miller, February 1891, p. 477.

2 negatives containing an image of the page of The Miller, the other negative, showing the same page can be seen in GJON-IMG-24A. The three photographs are all of the picture of the Mill seen in these negatives, enlarged to encompass the entire photo. One photograph is affixed to a piece of paper with "Pledges' Victoria Flour Mills at Ashford, built 1890. The Miller, February 1891, p. 477." written on it. This can be seen in GJON-IMG-24B. Another has "Messrs. H.S. Pledge and Sons' new roller flour mill, Ashford, Kent." seen in GJON-IMG-24C, and finally GJON-IMG-24D shows just an enlarged version of the picture of the mill.
