"St Patrick's Tower, Thomas Street, Dublin, 135 ft high 70 ft [?] at the base. Built 1805 to grind corn for the distillery of Sylvester Costigan, who sold the distillery to George Roe [around] 1818 & bought [from] the Dublin Distillers' Co in 1948 by Arthur Guinness Son & Co. The cap is copper covered & has a wind vane [with] a 4 ft figure of St Patrick. Copyright: Irish Press Ltd. Neg no. 75R".
