3 pages of A4 paper, folded around 16 pages of notes taken from two smaller notebooks. Notes taken on mills in Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Wales and Yorkshire, with more detailed notes on a windmill at 'Brill, Bucks' which is also labelled 'Wilford's mill'.

Indenture relating to a grist mill at Northpetherton

1 sheet of vellum measuring 77cm x 38cm, signed and sealed by Henry Gatchell and Robert Woodhouse and concerning a grist mill and meadows at Northpetherton (being known as Spall House, woods or grounds). The reverse features numerous notes in different handwriting, relating to the receipt of payments due under "this mortgage", the last one being made in 1712.

Two vellum sheets (approx 62 x 79 cm and 60 x 76 cm). Indenture in which John Masters and John Fry Reeves (owners of all the fulling mills, tucking mills and other properties originally belonging to Matthew Davy) confirm the sale to Joseph Giles of a mill and premises in Charlton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, which were mortgaged by Matthew Davy to John Holman Evans, and sold by him to Joseph Giles. Other names mentioned: Thomas Smith, William Melliar, John Marshall, Paul Cooper, Edward Quickett. Original document available for reference.
