Galleywood Common

This image is undated; however it cannot be later than 1918 as this copy of the postcard bears a postmark of that date.

Galleywood Common

This copy of the postcard indicates that a 1/2d stamp is required. The postage rate for postcards rose to 1d in 1918, so the image presumably does not date from later than that year. There is a handwritten note on the back of the postcard which informs us that the mill was "Demolished around (the year) 1923."
