Grandfather Alfred Aldred bought the mill Feb 1873. He used it until he died + was succeeded by his son A S Aldred (Steve Aldred) who used it until he died June 1947. I bought it Sept 1949 + eventually signed deed of guardianship with M of Works in 1951 [illegible signature]"
