Scan sent to the Mills Archive by Roland Smith, August 2022. On the back of the frame is written "Red House Mill, Battersea. Watercolour by George Shepherd. Drawn before 1851. Bought Nicholas Auction Sale Goring-on-Thames December 6th 1978 (Remounted 1979)". The painting is unsigned however. It was purchased by Roland Smith in September 1998 from Hamptons Fine Art Auctioneers, Godalming, Surrey. The original remains in the possession of Roland Smith.
