Level of description
Extent and medium
4 albums of prints, 1 box of negatives
Name of creator
Passed to the Mills Archive by Alan Stoyel in October 2012. The photos were stored in envelopes, one for each mill, with the envelopes stored in alphabetical order. The photos have been transferred into albums, but the envelopes have been retained as many have handwritten notes by Rex Wailes; photographs are stored in the albums in original order, the envelope first followed by the items it contained. In a few cases the ordering has been changed where it was not alphabetical, and contents of envelopes have been merged where there were more than one for the same mill. Negatives are stored separately in paper folders in the box. The original glass negatives of some of these have been catalogued as part of Rex Wailes' glass plate negatives collection with codes beginning REXW-GPN-E.
