Mortgage of the Tower Mill, Burston, Norfolk

Two vellum sheets (approx 59 x 72 cm and 55 x 69 cm). Mortgage of a piece of land 'formerly parcel of the Common called Pound Green in Burston ... whereupon a Brick Tower Windmill Stable and other Outbuildings have been erected and built,' with 'all and singular the flour Bins Sails cloths ropes going gears fixtures and Chattels belonging to or used with the said Windmill,' together with other premises in Burston, to secure the balance of the account of Charles Christopher Simonds (miller) at the London and Provincial Bank Limited. Conveyance of a windmill, cottage and land at Sprowston

1 sheet of vellum measuring 69cm x 44cm documenting the sale by William John Harvey (surveyor) to John Morris (wheelwright) and George Dyball (clerk) for £160 of the windmill, cottage and land at Sprowston, bounded towards the east by Mousehold Heath and towards the south by Lingwood and by the west by a strip of land used as a "Brick Ground". The indenture is signed by William Harvey and bears the seals of all three parties.

Conditional Surrender relating to the Manor of Tacolneston, Norwich

Double-sided handwritten sheet (approx. 50cm x 39cm) documenting the surrender of rights and land in the Manor of Tacolneston by Barnabas Burroughes (miller) of Aslacton in favour of Walter Mace (Boot and Shoe Manufacturer, Norwich) on the condition that these rights might be resumed on the re-payment on 16 April 1871 of the £250 consideration paid by Walter Mace (plus interest).
