Handwritten note from H.A. Webster to Rex Wailes on the reverse reads, "Paris, May 31 1937. My dear Wailes, Very many thanks for yr letter and the copy of your article. I hope soon to send you another number of the Illustrations with some new drawings and an article by Baschet = I visited over 400 mills last summer: I am afraid that in spite of all efforts they are [doomed] to disappear within a relatively short period of years - Cordially always, H.A. Webster."

"Le Moulin a Vent"

French soldiers in front of a post mill. Message on reverse reads "Best love Oct 6th 1916 Somewhere in France. Teddie xx". The location has been redacted by the British Army. However, a search identifies the mill as Moulin de Saint-Maxent, Saint Maxtent. This postcard is used in "Mills at war", 2019, p.41.
