Item 10,227 in the 'East Anglian Miscellany' series in the 'East Anglian Daily Times', with memories by S.D.W. of Walton about windmills etc. formerly in Walton and Trimley. He refers to three in Walton and another two/three in Trimley.

Item 11,968 in the East Anglian Miscellany series from the 'East Anglian Daily Times', quoting the 'Ipswich Journal' of 25 September, 1790, about the forthcoming sale of a windmill amongst other buildings at Trimley St Martin. In the same paper dated 28, December, 1799, after it had been bought by Mr Dowsing, the windmill's post split during a gale; although a small boy was in the mill at the time, he received no injury.
