Almanack & Diary 1894

Almost certainly by Sidney Russell since many references to models. Also love poem to AD, possibly Alice Dungay his wife. SR (brother of Hugh and Caleb) was accountant to the mill. Diary gives daily activities and jottings for 1894.

The label on the packet containing negative versions of this image is labelled 'Hookers' [sic] Mills: Waltham Windmill, Canterbury, Chartham', referring to more than one mill, as the packet contains negative images of two mills. It is not entirely clear which mill this image is of. A copy of this negative is seen in GJON-IMG-14A, and the photographs of this image can be seen in GJON-IMG-14B and GJON-IMG-14C.
