Research material relating to Johann Friedrich Weidler and Richard Jones, engineers who created systems for pumping water from the River Tagus to the city of Toledo, Spain, int he 18th century. Documents include a letter from Alan Smith relating to Weidler; photocopies of pages from the 16th volume of the Wren Society, 1939 relating to Richard Jones; typed notes relating to Richard Jones, along with correspondence between Stephen and Jose A Garcia-Diego, council member of the International Molinological Society; photocopy of "El Ingenio del Agua en Toledo en El Siglo XVIII" in "Anales Toledanos XIII", by Gabriel Mora del Pozo, 1980; negative and print of a an indenture agreement dated 31 August 1726 between John Taverner, John Ellis, and Richard Jones, relating to Jones's water-raising system installed in Toledo. The negative and print are copies of the original document at the Huntington Library, California.
