Southwold from the church tower

The corporation windpump on top of the water tower and the old Black post mill. Only the water tower itself remains, together with Reydon windpump which can be seen in the distance.

The photo shows the Simplex wind engine on top of the water tower and the old Black post mill with its sails turning. Reydon windpump can just be seen in the distance. Only this and the water tower itself survive today.

Theberton tower mill in working order. The post mill body, shown alongside, came from Little Glemham (TM 357 584) where it was an open trestle mill. It was moved to Theberton and set up as a power-driven mill within Jesse Wightman's lifetime.
