Note on reverse reads "A typical Suffolk post mill. It was very severely damaged in a freak storm in 1946 just after its new arm had put it into first class working order. It now works with two sails only but the owner hopes to be able to replace the other two."
Note on the reverse: "Shottenden Windmill at Perry Green, between Chilham & Selling nr Faversham, Kent. Long derelict & finally disappeared about 1905. From Mr E. T. Crosoer 29.1.42".
