Donated by Lyn Cottrell. Believed taken in the 1890s at City mills, Ely, Cambridgeshire, where Alfred Hone is listed as miller in 1892 and 1900. The photograph shows Alfred's second wife Emily, his daughters from his first marriage, Maude and Nellie, and his stepson William. Alfred's first wife died in 1892.
Picture of a small family (both parents and one child and two dogs). The subjects appear to be Mrs L C Cranfield, and her husband Mr J G Cranfield (founder of Cranfield Brothers Limited).

The packet in which this negative was presented is labelled 'Reynolds' Mill, Gloucester[;] Voller - extreme right'. Presumably of the employees at Reynolds' Mill, Gloucester, with W. R. Voller on the extreme right. Another copy of this negative was found in a packet simply labeled "W.R. Voller, The Miller", seen in GJON-IMG-61A. The 3 identical photographs can be seen in GJON-IMG-61B, GJON-IMG-61C, and GJON-IMG-61D.
The packet in which this negative was presented is labelled 'Reynolds' Mill, Gloucester[;] Voller - extreme right', but this image is in fact an extract from 'The Miller' containing a portrait of W. R. Voller. The article is about Gloucester milling, where Reynolds Mill is located. Another identical copy of this negative can be seen GJON-IMG-60A, this negative was found in a different packet simply labeled "W.R. Voller, The Miller"
A letter from H. M. Soly to Ernest Vincent. The letter mainly deals with the thanks Soly gives for Vincent sending him some of the wedding cake from Vincent's wedding. The letter also mentions comments on some of the mining processes in Rhodesia, and some of the shares in company.
