Demolition of Abbey Mill

The demolition of Abbey Mill, Abbey Street and Abbey Square. The view is towards Abbey Square, with the back of the Prudential Assurance building, surrounded by scaffolding, in the background. To the left, one of the waterwheels is revealed, part of the gearing, and the northern arch of the medieval mill.

Burghfield Mill

Arborfield Mill

Mill House, Twyford

A photograph showing part of Mill House, and to the right of it a row of three-storey cottages built for silk workers on the High Street. The cottages were demolished in 1937.
