Bovinger Mill

There is a handwritten note on the back of the postcard stating that the image was produced on May 3rd 1924 and that the Post Mill was "Pulled down soon after." A duplicate copy of this postcard, now disposed of, included a handwritten stating "This is my Brother's mill but has now disappeared" signed by Mr W. Pope.

J C Walkley

The Common, Brill

This copy of the postcard indicates that a 1/2d stamp is required. The postage rate for postcards rose to 1d in 1918, so the image presumably does not date from later than that year. The year '1908' is written on reverse in pencil.
