Newspaper cutting re. Mill House, Tendring, Essex

Advert for sale of house formerly that of the miller of Tendring tower mill. The advert describes the Mill House as "A delightful well - equipped small Georgian house on 2 floors." We are informed that the former mill has "Three reception rooms, (a) cloakroom, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, (an) Aga cooker" and provides "a useful range of buildings with garage and stabling.... Matured but inexpensive gardens, productive orchard and kitchen garden and 2 level paddocks." The mill was put up "For Sale by Auction on September 6, 1949, at the Red Lion Hotel, Colchester." The Auctioneers are recorded as being "C. M. Stanford and Sons, 23 High Street, Colchester, and John D. Wood and Co., 23, Berkeley Square, London, W. 1."
