The fantail in full working condition
The old fantail frame had the date 1799 painted on a cross member. The reasons for this are a mystery, as the date does not correspond to any known history of the Mill. The mill was built in 1803.
Justin Coombs compares his size to the fan
The entire fantail was renewed in 1983, providing Justin with the opportunity to compare his size to the 11 ft diameter fan.
