Postmarked 9 March 1918. The ruin of Wacques Farm, Souain-Perthes-lès-Hurlus with a wind engine. Nearby lies the nécropole nationale de la 28e brigade who fought in the area between the 25-30 September 1915.

German postcard showing two French mill sites, a mill in Saint-Soulet that was destroyed during WW1 and the mill pond at Auberive.
Sent from a German soldier in the Kgl. Sächsisches Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 102. The mill was used as the dressing station for the Landwehr Infantry Regiment during the battle of Rouvres in late August 1914. The village was completely destroyed by the Germans and the picture was taken on the 25 August 1914.
