The first item is a photograph featuring the Toll Gate post of a mill which is entitled simply as "Abbey Mills". The date of production for the photocopy is recorded as being June 1952. The location of this mill is not identified.
The twenty seventh item is a photograph featuring the remains of an "old watermill" in Worcestershire . The name and precise location of the watermill are not identified. A note on the back of the photograph records the date of production as April 1951. This is the only information that is recorded on the back of the photographic print.
As Gardner describes, the thirteenth photograph is an image of a millstone and stream in Sheffield. However, the mill pertaining to the millstone and stream is unidentified.
