Willington Mill

The second item of this Sub - Series is another photocopy of an illustration of Grange Farm Mill in Willington, Bedfordshire. Like the preceding photocopy, this is a reproduction of a drawing of the mill which was produced in 1848. Once again, we are informed by a note on the back that the building no longer exists having "been pulled down".

Double-sided handwritten sheet (approx. 40cm x 32cm) documenting an inventory taken at Shillington Mill on 10 October 1862 by Isaac [Chalkley], millwright (Hitchin) with detailed description of machinery, stones and of a water wheel, "in very bad state of repair".
Double-sided handwritten sheet (approx. 48cm x 37cm) documenting the assignment of the lease of "the Water Corn Mill called Wattle Mills" by William Hipgrave (miller) to John Kempson (famer) and James Kempson (miller) dated 4 November 1865. Signed and sealed by all parties.
Double-sided handwritten sheet (approx. 40cm x 31cm) granting licence to the above assignment.
