The thirty eighth item is the second photograph entitled "Fisherton mill, Salisbury". There is a note written on the back telling us that the "Mill House (is) to the left" of the picture. The photograph was taken in 1966.

The forty first item is a photograph featuring Baldham mill in the village of Seend in Wiltshire. A note is written on the back informing us that the man standing at the door in this picture is a certain Mr Noad who was presumably the miller. The photograph was taken in 1965.

Elcot Mill, Marlborough

The twenty seventh item is a photograph of the cogs of Elcot watermill with its most notable feature of course being the distinctive white cat sitting on top of one of the cogs. The watermill is situated just outside the market town of Marlborough . An interesting note is on the back of the photograph written in the form of a brief letter. The message reads "Dear Miss Dance, Thank you very much for a delightful evening. What a wonderful basis the meal was. I am sure that everything will be alright on the 21st of March. Drastic editing will of course be required of at least myself and D. H. J. Yours Ken. Elcot near Marlborough." The photograph is dated to 9th March 1964.

Golden Valley Paper Mill

The eighth photograph is another image of Golden Valley Paper Mill in the Gloucestershire village of Bitton. Whereas the previous photograph of Golden Valley Paper Mill is recorded on the back as having been produced in 1959, this image is recorded as having been produced in 1963. The identity of the photographer is unknown.

Kilcott Mill, Hillesley

The forty first photograph is an image of the mill at Lower Kilcott farm located on the tributary of the Little Avon River just outside the Gloucestershire village of Hillesley. The image was produced in 1963 four years after Gardner's death. On the back of the photograph is recorded the observation that "River dammed to join mill pond behind the mill." "Avon" is written in large letters.

Berkeley Mill

The fifth photograph is of the Sea Mills situated in the Gloucestershire parish of Berkeley. The photograph was not taken by Gardner. The date of production is recorded by another hand simply as 1961. Gardner had died two years before in 1959. The term "Upstream" is recorded on the back of the photograph.

Higher Mill, Helmshore

The thirtieth image features the counting house of the watermill known as the "Higher Mill of Helmshore". The village of Helmshore is situated in the Rossendale valley of Lancashire. The photograph was produced in 1961. The image shows us a row of empty, derelict houses on the right hand side of the lane leading up to the counting house which are described on the back of the picture as being "surplus" to requirements.

We are informed that the mill was built in around 1780 and that the "Higher Mill of Helmshore" specialised in the processes of "Fulling" and "Raising." The photograph was produced in 1961.

The thirty fourth item features the Old Mill located in the market town of Louth in Lincolnshire. The photograph was produced in 1961.

Waterwheel Higher Mill, Helmshore

The thirty second item is the third photograph featuring the watermill known as the "Higher Mill of Helmshore". The photograph was produced in 1961. We are informed that the water wheel was constructed between 1820 and 1830 and that it had a "20 feet diameter" and was "10 feet wide" with oak buckets which were "formerly iron." The last time the mill was in operation was in December 1954. From the perspective of the year 1961, the water wheel was still in "good condition and able to revolve."
