Sketch when mill apparently working but cryptic "What does fan drive?".
"a postmill with fantail mounted upon the roof, the drive evidently communicating with a tooth ring within the mill, but whether this is just a whim of the designer, or indicates that it is not a genuine postmill I do not know." Hopkins and Freese 1931, pp49-50.
