Gardner, Emilie Montgomery (1882-1959)

Photograph of Telham Mill

This photograph features Telham Hill Windmill of Battle , East Sussex, which is situated in close proximity to the site of The Battle of Hastings of 1066. The photograph was originally in the EMGC-01-10 folder containing the Alan Stoyel collection of handwritten notes pertaining to mills which are or were all situated in the county of Devon. The photograph from Alan Stoyel's collection has been moved to a more appropriate place. Gardner has not written the date of production for the photograph. However, an important note has been written by a different and later hand declaring "Copyright of the SPAB" which of course stands for The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
