Fastened inside the back cover is a list of securities held by Barclays Bank Ltd, Pontefract, on behalf of Messrs John Croysdale & Sons Ltd dated 2nd November 1936. They include deeds for freehold properties costing about £34,00, and War Stock valued at £20,000.

'Old Lady of Whitley Bridge'

Press cutting from the Yorkshire Evening Post of 26th June 1953 sub-headed '1860 Steam Engine goes into retirement at last'. The article commemorates the 200 hp engine which had powered all the machinery in the mill for 100 years, now replaced by modern electric motors. The accompanying photographs show the senior engineman, Mr George Jackson, turning off the engine, a presentation to him of a tankard and a party of senior managers.
