"With the complements of HA". Stamped Hallam Ashley FRPS "for Rex Wailes". Rex Wailes' note reads, "Langley Marsh. The [?]shaft of brakewheel of Langley Marsh drainage mill during demolition. The author if taking measurements".
Note on reverse reads "A typical Suffolk post mill. It was very severely damaged in a freak storm in 1946 just after its new arm had put it into first class working order. It now works with two sails only but the owner hopes to be able to replace the other two."
The sixty fifth item is the seventh photograph featuring the watermill in the small village of Sapiston in Suffolk. The image is undated. We are informed by the information on the back of the print that the photographer was "Hallam Ashley, F . R. P. S of New Costessey, Norwich".
