Article from the journal "Milling" about the new Co-operative Flour Mills in Avonmouth, Bristol. The article discusses the Robinson system, as well as details of the mills site, floor plans, features, power, production and staff. Note from Duffield made in pencil on article, explains that this information can also be found in number 206 of "The Miller", 6th June 1910 (seen under DUFF-SBK-006).

The first three cuttings are from an article on Mr J J Rash's Wortham Mills, starting with a photo of the mill, followed by a frontispiece on the new roller milling technology Mr Rash had installed in the mill in 1893, by Messrs E R and F Turner. The last two cuttings are pictures of Victoria Mills in Ashford and Robinson's Mill in Deptford.

The first cutting shows a question asked by "A Milling Student" in the January issue of The Miller, asking about the length of rollers, per sack of flour, per hour, with the practical lengths being a lot shorter than their textbook suggests. The second cutting is from the February issue of The Miller, with responses to the question raised by "A Milling Student" with different suggestions for the differences in length. Further correspondence on this question can be seen in DUFF-SBK-040, DUFF-SBK-041, DUFF-SBK-048, DUFF-SBK-049 and DUFF-SBK-050.

The first cutting shows the burning of the King and Queen Granary, Rotherhithe Street during the great fire of Rotherhithe. The second is an advert for Harris's Technological Fire Insurance Commentary, specifically written for insurance officials and agents.
First cutting describes the fire that burnt down the old Ford Mill at Newport. The second cutting is correspondence to The Miller responding to an earlier piece of correspondence.
