The next cutting describes a new Welsbach incandescent gas lighting system. There is then a cutting detailing a fire at Star Mills, Oldham. Next is a series of cuttings discussing a new mutual insurance to be set-up by a conglomerate of millers in the UK, as well as a new sprinkler system for mills, and also discussion of a new company secretary for the Association of British and Irish Millers.

1 cutting discusses the difficulties in insuring mills against fire for a profitable margin, and the other cutting, from The Miller, details new construction work for Lincoln Co-operative Mill and Bakery, including new milling machinery, a new building and a switch from steam to electric power.

An article which describes a range of new machinery, including rollers, new power generators, and a sophisticated cleaning plant, brought into Barton Mill by Mr Raymond Allen and Mr Edward J Mead.

The 2 cuttings include a photo of Langford Mills, and an article discussing the roller machinery and "Robinson" system which both Langford Mills and Biggleswade Mill employ.

Cuttings from two articles, the first on Wendon Mills, Audley End. The cutting shows a picture of the mill and describe its erection in 1897 by Thomas Robinson and Son Ltd. The second article features the New Bro's Flour Mills, Newbury, with a picture of the mill and a description of their satisfaction at Messrs. A R Tattersall and Co's work in updating the mill with roller milling machinery.

The first two cuttings deal with an automatic sprinkler used in the Shawmut wood pulp mill, New England, USA. The third cutting discusses the sprinklers and insurance for Resolution Mill, Tyldesley, and the last three cuttings are on a discussion in the Canadian Miller about Air Bolters.

The first cutting describes fire risks in roller mills. The second describes a fire in warehouses and granaries in Darblay, France. The third is a picture of Geen Mills, with a note saying it belongs to Messrs T Rowse and Sons.

The first cutting is an article about a fire at a grain warehouse next to Albert Bridge Mill. The second cutting is a picture of the mill itself from a Henry Simon newsletter.

Cutting describes the owners satisfaction with Mr Simon's roller plant.
