Cutting from 'Brighton and Hove Gazette' describing the building of a 5ft.-high model of Rottingdean Mill in honour of the new mayor Ald. Jim Taylor. The article mentions the model being built by the Parks and Garden Department, as well as details about the party held at the Royal Pavilion where it was displayed.

Note in the 'Eastbourne Gazette' that Capt. H. G. Brown of Friston had presented an etching by Anthony Hill R.A. to his local Parish Council, showing the windmill that once stood on the Downs nearby.
