Cutting from "Erith Observer". The president of the Dartford and District Antiquarian Society gave a talk on "Windmills" at a recent Annual meeting. The talk discussed the work of the Society and continued with a resume about the disappearance of watermills and windmills in the area, their history and relationship with the countryside. Several watermills and windmills were mentioned.

"History of Manors in Kent"

Cutting from "Erith Observer" claims the Manor of Bexley is of great "antiquity" as a mill and Hall existed before the Domesday Survey in which Bexley is mentioned. The discovery of several "Manorial Court Rolls" the earliest of which is dated 1280.
