A brief history of the company 'The Peak District country store with everything'. The business celebrated its 100 years of trading in July 1985, having survived the destruction of the mill by fire in 1924 and a loss of water power following the construction of the Ladybower Reservoir which required piped water from the River Noe. It is now a fifth generation family business.
