Sidney Abraham, the brother of Alfred the miller, had a bakers shop in nearby Station Road. The building no longer exists, so here it is seen reconstructed as a 3D computer model, and shown in the context of the modern street scene, as it would be if it had survived.
Computer generated view of the Mill House basement
The Mill House basement will be filled in and the new visitors centre built on top. To save the details of the basement for posterity, a 3D computer model has been made using actual photographs from the dig site.
Computer models overlayed on the site plan
As the archaeology and research progresses, 3D computer models of the buildings are created to scale and overlayed on the master site plan
Interior of the Upminster Steam Mill
Image from a 3D computer model showing the interior of the Steam Mill and Meal House as they probably looked. Details have been taken from old photographs and archaeological evidence. An animated version of this model can be seen on YouTube
