Cutting from "Kentish Express" reporting that The Black Mill was tempoarily out of action due to the grinding fan being damaged by recent storms.

Guston, Swingate Mill. Report No 52, Aug 1965. Cap removed, brick in fair order. Neglected and probably a store
Northbourne, New Mill. Report No 55, Aug 1965. No cap, weatherboard in fair order but overall in poor state, used as a store.
