A repurposed pocket diary for March 1931 measuring 6.5 cm x 9 cm and marked "Northants, Kent, Sussex, Norfolk" with brief notes on various matters including the mills listed at "Place access points" below. The notebook is only partially complete.

"Windmills"

Letter to the Editor of the 'Brighton Evening Argus' from L. R. Everard of Shoreham, commenting on a previous letter from a Mr Grey and giving some more details about Trusler's Mill (a post mill formerly in Regency Square in Brighton), Ballard's Mill, a smock mill in Hove and Udimore post mill which he would be happy to pass on to Mr Grey.

There is also an historical note about Ballards Post Mill and the reasons Mr Joseph Harris built the rival Patcham tower mill.
