Name of creator
Arthur C Smith travelled throughout the country by bicycle the 1970s and 1980s, locating and recording windmill sites. The results of these investigations were published between 1974 and 1989 in the County Windmills series. Donated to The Mills Archive by Arthur C Smith in July 2002. The collection was meticulously arranged, labelled and listed by Arthur C Smith himself. This arrangement has been preserved. A complete set of the County Windmills series of books was included in the collection. These have been placed in the Mills Archive library.
