Scope and content

Handwritten note on reverse reads "I can find no history of the mill. It is the sole more or less complete survivor of a considerable family stretching along the Wirral Ridge and was used for grinding up into the eighteen sixties. It is now kept in repair as an item of interest by the Copr. The sails were blown off in the gale in Oct 1928 & were replaced at the public cost."
